When the weather outside would rather dampen your spirits, step out of the cold city streets and warm your soul in front of the Theatre Français de Toronto’s stage. Director Diana LeBlanc's spirited rendition of Alfred Musset's On Ne Badine Pas Avec L'Amour [There's No Triffling with Love] caps off the TfT’s 41st season.
In short, it's a tragedy of innocence that centers on the conflicting hearts of Perdican (Nicolas Van Burek) and Camille (Julie Le Gal). Featuring the lengendary Viola Léger in the role of the Chorus and amazing performances by a phenomenal supporting cast, this one hour and forty-five minute piece has brought sold-out audience to their feet. Like the rest of us, you'll laugh, you'll cry and you'll leave with a tear in your eye!
The play runs at the Berkeley Street Theatre from October 22nd until the 8th of November. English subtitles, provided by SunLife Financial, will accompany the show on October 29th, November 1st as well as on November 7th.
